Web-Based RFID Tag Printing
RFIDLinked’s Web-Based RFID Tag Printing allows you to print RFID enabled tags directly from the RFIDLinked web application. This feature brings the same powerful tag printing capabilities available in our mobile app to desktop users who prefer working in a browser-based environment.
With this feature, users can:
-
Print individual RFID tags on demand
-
Print tags in bulk by importing a CSV file
-
Use USB-connected or network-enabled RFID printers (see supported printers below)
-
Print from Windows and macOS computers
-
Visually preview tags before they're printed
Who Should Use This Feature
This feature is ideal for:
-
Users who primarily work from a desktop or laptop computer
-
Teams that need to print RFID tags in bulk from imported data
-
Environments where printers are connected via USB or local network
-
Organizations that want a browser-based printing workflow without relying on mobile devices
What is the RFIDLinked Print Agent and is it Required
Modern web browsers are intentionally limited in how they communicate with local hardware such as USB devices and network printers. To overcome these limitations, RFIDLinked uses a lightweight desktop application called the RFIDLinked Print Agent.
The Print Agent runs on your computer and acts as a secure bridge between the RFIDLinked web app and your local RFID printers. Once installed and configured, the web app can send print jobs to the Print Agent, which then handles direct communication with your printers.
This approach allows us to offer reliable, high-performance RFID printing from the web while maintaining browser security and compatibility across many browsers and operating systems.
Mobile Printing
If you need to print RFID tags from a mobile device, we recommend using the RFIDLinked mobile app, which supports RFID printing natively and does not require the Print Agent.
