Before you can print RFID tags from the RFIDLinked web application, you must configure at least one printer inside the RFIDLinked Print Agent. This article explains which printers are supported and walks through the process of adding and testing a printer.
Supported Printer Types
The RFIDLinked Print Agent currently supports the following printer configurations:
Network Printers
Any network-enabled, ZPL-based RFID printer is supported.USB Printers
Over USB, only the Chainway CP30 RFID printer is currently supported.
Using a different USB printer?
If you have a USB-connected RFID printer that is not listed above, please contact RFIDLinked Support to see if support can be added for your hardware.

Opening the RFIDLinked Print Agent
To configure printers, the RFIDLinked Print Agent must be running and open.
If the Print Agent Is Not Running
Windows: Launch RFIDLinked Print Agent from the Start Menu.
macOS: Open Applications and double-click RFIDLinked Print Agent.
If the Print Agent Is Already Running
The Print Agent runs in the background and lives in your system tray or menu bar.

Windows:
Click the system tray (near the clock).
If needed, click the up arrow (^) to show hidden icons.
Click the RFIDLinked Print Agent icon and select Show.

macOS:
Click the RFIDLinked Print Agent icon in the menu bar.
Select Show from the menu.
Printer List Overview
When the Print Agent opens, you will see a list of configured printers.
If you have already added printers, they will appear in this list.
If no printers have been configured yet, the list will be empty.
Adding a New Printer
To add a new printer, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Click “+ Add”
Click the + Add button to begin creating a new printer configuration.
Step 2: Name the Printer
Enter a friendly name for the printer.
This name is used later when selecting a printer during the printing process, so choose something descriptive (for example: Warehouse Printer or Front Desk CP30).
Step 3: Select Printer Connection Type
Choose whether this printer is connected via:
USB
Network
Configuring a USB Printer
If you selected USB:
Select the printer type that matches your hardware.
Currently, the supported USB option is Chainway CP30.
Once selected, no additional connection details are required.
Configuring a Network Printer
If you selected Network:
Enter the hostname or IP address of the printer.
Enter the port the printer is listening on.
Most ZPL-based network printers use port 9100 by default.
Example:

Testing and Saving the Printer
After entering the printer details, you have two options:
Test – Sends a test request to verify the printer configuration is valid.
Add – Saves the printer configuration without testing.
We recommend using Test whenever possible to confirm connectivity before saving.
Once added, the printer will appear in your printer list and be available for use when printing from the RFIDLinked web application.
